Swings donated to Royal Hobart’s NPICU

Our ‘Wear Green for Premmies’ campaign is held annually in April each year and part of the funds raised through the event in 2015, has enabled our Foundation to donate equipment to help assist the precious babies at Royal Hobart Hospital’s NPICU’s nursery. RHH

Part of the proceeds from wearing green in April, has assisted our charity to purchase and donate equipment to two Special Care Nurseries and two Neonatal Intensive Care Units. This year, Royal Hobart Hospital was one of the four hospitals chosen as recipients of our annual donations.

In August 2015, L’il Aussie Prems Foundation kindly donated 2 x 3 in 1 Swing N Rockers to Royal Hobart Hospital’s NPICU’s unit, an item on the hospital’s wish list. This donation will help assist older babies in the nursery and will be a valuable contribution to suit the babies needs perfectly.

Without the generosity of these donations, it is difficult for hospitals to access equipment that is so important in neonatal care. Sonia Gallagher, Nurse Unit Manager, said that that staff in the NPICU are grateful for this generous donation.

We will provide further details and photos of our equipment donations to the further three chosen hospitals from our 2015 event soon.
