At 6pm tonight our little precious had a laparotomy to remove 5cm of bowel that was the cause of her recent sickness. Apparently when she had nec 5-6 weeks ago a part of the bowel died but then healed itself which then caused an obstruction so she could feed for so many days no prob but then it would come to the point where no more food would fit (she did not poop) her abdo would distend and she would vomit bile and crap. So so glad we have an answer and now hoping for a brilliant recovery.

poor little chickee - here's to a quick recovery and onwards and upwards from here miss Jacinda.

Our Phoenix recovered well from her bowel surgery - she was going to have it re-sectioned but they ended up not needing too, so a bit easier than Jacinda's, but she recovered remarkably well from it - and couldn't wait to start 'eating' again.

Thanks everyone, unfortunately i got the call at 430 this morning to say the little button had deteriorated and has had to be put on HFOV at around 65% oxy

she is having a transfusion in the next hour or two so hopefully that will make her feel a bit better
