Our ‘Wear Green for Premmies’ campaign is held in April each year and part of the proceeds from our event, enable our charity to continue our tradition of purchasing equipment for nurseries.
In June 2016, Our Foundation kindly donated 2 x Spectra S2 Hospital Grade Double Electric Breast Pumps to the Special Care Nursery at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Rockhampton.
This year, the Special Care Nursery at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Rockhampton was one of the four hospitals chosen as recipients of our annual donations. We receive ‘wish lists’ from each of the four nurseries to help assist our Foundation in purchasing equipment relevant to the needs of each hospital.
Our Foundation will be donating up to $5,000 towards the purchase of equipment between the four nurseries from these incredible fundraising efforts in April 2016. We are currently liasing with the John Hunter Hospital (NICU) in NSW, Women’s & Children’s Hospital (NICU) in SA and St Vincent’s Private Hospital (SCN) in VIC to finalise our donations direct to their nurseries.
Our hospital donations of course would not be possible without your kind donations and fundraising efforts in support of our event each year. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your amazing efforts to support not only our Foundation, but the hospitals that provide the amazing care for our precious children born too soon.
We will provide further updates of our equipment donations to the other 2016 hospital recipients soon.
