We are thrilled to share the exciting news that our L’il Appers Support Program is now supporting families at Ronald McDonald House Monash.
In early February, we donated two iPads to Ronald McDonald House Monash to help connect their families to our online support services. The families residing at the House are often living hundreds of kilometers away from home and staying in emergency accommodation whilst their premature or sick newborn requires critical care in the NICU/SCN at Monash Children’s Hospital in Clayton.
Support is vital for a positive outlook and mental health during both pregnancy and the days or weeks following on from birth. Our unique program will now provide easy access in connecting directly to information, stories, photos and chat with other parents through our premmie forum app, all from the comfort of their bedroom or from one of the friendly family rooms at the House.
We kindly thank the staff at Ronald McDonald House Monash for their excitement in starting our program at their House. The launch of L’il Appers at the House complements our current partnership through the L’il Hands Accommodation Support program, a joint initiative first launched in September 2014.
We are focused on expanding our L’il Appers Support Program into other maternity units, NICU and SCN’s throughout Australia over the next twelve months. If you know a hospital which will benefit from our program, please let us know via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our program is currently available in the following hospitals and services;
