Our ‘Wear Green for Premmies’ campaign is held annually in April each year and part of the funds raised through the event in 2015, enabled our Foundation to once again donate equipment to nurseries to help assist medical staff with saving the lives of premature babies in their care.
In 2015, our event supported the Royal Hobart, King Edward Memorial, Wagga Wagga Base and Lismore Base Hospitals, who were the four hospital recipients of our annual donations.
L’il Aussie Prems Foundation kindly donated the following equipment to those nurseries from the items listed on their ‘wish lists’ provided to our committee;
Royal Hobart Hospital – 2 x Mamaroo Swing N Rockers
King Edward Memorial – 1 x Mamaroo Swing N Rocker
Wagga Wagga Base Hospital – Masimo Handheld Pulse Oximeter
Lismore Base Hospital – 1 x Medela Calesca Feed Warming Unit and Replacement Inserts (donated by Medela)
Total Purchased – $3,950
Without the generosity of these donations, it is difficult for hospitals to access equipment that is so important in neonatal care which is why we are proud of our longstanding tradition to give back to those who save the lives of Australia’s tiniest battlers. To date, we have now donated over $20,000 towards the purchase of equipment for twelve nurseries throughout Australia over the past five years.
Please get behind our 2016 Wear Green for Premmies campaign to support the four new hospitals chosen by our community in January 2016.
This year we will be assisting; Mater Hospital Rockhampton (SCN), John Hunter Hospital (NICU), St Vincent’s Private Hospital (SCN) and the Women’s & Children’s Hospital (NICU).
Please make a tax deductible donation today!
