Our Premmie Parent Bags have been created for Australian families who currently have a premature baby or babies in NICU or SCN. As a community of parents here at L’il Aussie Prems we have collated these bags to help other families find the ground support they need to help them on their journey through hospital.

Our aim is to keep each bag totally free to families and we would love your help to ensure this continues. As they are only available through our website each bag is posted direct to each families home address. Postage cost for each bag is $10.00 Australia wide.

We invite premmie families and the general public to sponsor a bag. Your sponsorship money is put directly towards postage of our premmie parent bags. We welcome you to submit a personal “hope” message which will be printed and forwarded to each family with their bag.

Please visit our sponsors page for details.

Over the past few months we have been adding new features to the website to help families of premature babies. These features include a place for those who have left the hospital environment  to submit details of their prem’s journey and even offer advice to families currently in the NICU/SCN journey. Our premmie parent bags aim to help families new to the world of prematurity to find the support they need and contain samples and flyers giving information about premature charities and products suitable for premature children.  We invite you to sponsor a bag or let us know who needs to receive one.

Inspirational Premmie Babies
Many of us spent hours searching for information of premmie babies born at the same gestations as our own, what complications they had, their birth weight and their outcome after coming home from hospital. We all search for hope and inspiration after the quick and un-expected birth of our babies. L’il Aussie Prems has asked parents Australia wide for information about their babies since coming home with advice to help you with your journey through the NICU/SCN. We hope their outcomes bring you hope whilst also remembering that each baby’s journey is unique to them and they all develop in their own time. We welcome all families to submit details of their premature babies with our online submission form.

Thanks to our Loved Ones
Having a baby born early is one of the hardest journeys parents face and without our support network that journey would be so much harder. Here at L’il Aussie Prems we celebrate not only the parents and babies but also our loved ones who follow us and celebrate our every step after the birth of our premature babies. We invite you to submit details and a photo of your loved one(s) who were with you every step of the way. Whether it was your parents, grandparents, aunt, uncle, sister, brother or great friends.

Messages to our Hospitals
We have all been through the hard journey of premature birth and without the hospitals and their dedication it would have been a much harder road. You can find messages from families around Australia who would like to pay tribute to the many doctors, nurses and medical staff who take care of our premmie babies whilst in the NICU/SCN. If you would like to support and thank your hospital for the amazing care and dedication they showed through your premmie babies journey please use our submission form

Free Premmie Parent Bags
L’il Aussie Prems is proud to bring our very own unique premmie parent bags to families throughout Australia. These bags are only available to families who have babies currently in the NICU/SCN. As a community of parents we understand how hard it is with little time to research and find products and support after the birth of a premature baby which is why our aim is to bring the information to you to make the journey just that little bit easier. Our bags are only for families currently in the NICU/SCN. If you know a family with a baby currently in the hospital and think our bag will be helpful for them please fill out the form below and we would love to forward a parent bag to them.

Eric & Jade and their mum Caroline

Where was Eric & Jade born?
Royal North Shore

What was their gestation?
28.1 weeks

And their birth weights? Eric 1190g Jade 1157g

What do you remember most about Eric & Jade's time in hospital? The hilarous times we had in the expressing room cheering each other on for getting over 5ml! made the heartache just that little bit easier.

Does Eric & Jade have any ongoing health issues? Not "health" But Jade has some developmental delays. She is getting there though. Eric needs grommets for constant ear infections.

What has been your proudest moment since they came home? Watching them reach milestones! Eric coming off oxygen and Jade passing a hearing test as we thought she was partly deaf.

Thank you
L'il Aussie Prems Team
