We are thrilled to share the exciting news that we have expanded our L’il Appers Support Program into Frances Perry House in Melbourne.
At the end of January, we donated three iPads to Frances Perry House to start our support program within their services. The three donated iPads will now become an additional resource and support for their long and short term antenatal patients and the families who have a baby currently receiving treatment in their Special Care Nursery, many whom are transferred to their nursery after spending time in the Royal Women’s Hospital NISC.
Support is vital for a positive outlook and mental health during both the pregnancy and the days or weeks following on from birth and our unique project will now help to connect their families to our online support services. We kindly thank the staff at Frances Perry House for their incredible enthusiasm in implementing our program within their hospital and services.
In August 2014, we donated two iPad’s to our friends at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Melbourne to directly assist their families and to officially launch the program. It has been well received by both their staff and patients and will continue within their services with the outlook in expanding the program even further soon.
We are focused on expanding our L’il Appers Support Program into other maternity units, NICU and SCN’s throughout Australia over the next twelve months. If you know a hospital which will benefit from our program, please let us know via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
A special thank you to Josh Bradley and the Marketing & Retail Sales department at AGL Energy for their kind efforts in raising $2,000 for our charity in December. Their support has enabled us to expand our program in early 2015.
In January 2015, our program is currently available in the following hospitals and services;
