The Featherweight Club is a voluntary organisation established to support the families and babies of the Special Care Nurseries at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg, Melbourne and to raise awareness of their particular needs, both within the hospital environment and the broader community.
Our members have all had personal experiences of babies in the Special Care Nurseries at Mercy Hospital for Women or elsewhere. Members use best endeavours to provide emotional support and information to all families of premature or sick babies who may request such assistance, whether or not they have been involved with Mercy Hospital for Women. Members are resident throughout metropolitan and country Victoria and various other states and territories of Australia.
