A helping hand for families of premmie babies throughout Victoria

Wendy Taverna is mum to Sophie born at 24 weeks weighing just 585 grams in December 2004, who is now a vibrant 4yr old.

Wendy worked hard to make sure Sophie had the best start possible but she also like many others found little or no support out in the community and so decided she wanted to help change this. She joined the committee of Lifes Little Treasures & since has done some amazing work, as well as working and being a mum. She is constantly looking for ways in which (LLT) can improve the services they offer to families, assisting in writing the specially tailored booklets they produce, producing each newsletter, applying for grants, helping with social occasions and much more. She is always willing to do what’s necessary.

Wendy is very dedicated to assist premmie families navigate their way to access relevant support and health services throughout Victoria. Wendy is soft natured and cares for not only her family but also the Victorian community.
